Como parte del Proyecto Ambiental del Colegio América, en el área de inglés los alumnos de primer y segundo grado de primaria realizaron el proyecto My Pets, el cual incluía diversas actividades que permitieron desarrollar las cuatro habilidades: Listening, Oral Expression, Reading y Writing, terminando con una exposición en la que los niños describieron a sus mascotas e informaron cómo las cuidan. Los niños que no tenían mascota en casa hicieron el trabajo sobre el animal al que les gustaría tener como tal. Al terminar sus exposiciones los niños de primer grado hicieron mascotas de origami y los niños de segundo grado hicieron un títere de Birdie, la mascota del grado.

Primary First and Second Graders enjoy learning English.

As part of the Environmental Project of Colegio América, in the English Area, the students of 1st and 2nd grade (Primary) carried out a “My Pet” project. This project included several activities that allowed them to develop the four skills: Listening, Oral Expression, Reading and Writing. It ended with an oral presentation in which the students described their pets and reported how they take care of them. Children who did not have pets at home did the work on the animal they would like to have as such. At the end of their presentations, the first graders made origami pets and the second graders made a puppet of Birdie, the grade mascot.
