The teaching of the English language from an early age has always been very important at Colegio América. One of the best ways to acquire it is through interactive and real life experiences. That’s why, as part of the “Let’s Dress Up” topic, the 2nd-grader teachers, Ms. Sifuentes and Mrs. León, organized a small “Fashion Show”with their students. During this event, our kids described what they were wearing, showing their English in a natural way and sharpening their speaking skills.

The children’s parents were invited for this presentation and some of them even participated actively when their kids described their clothes too and they enjoyed a pleasant family moment at school.

La enseñanza del inglés desde una temprana edad siempre ha sido importante en el Colegio América. Una de las mejores maneras de aprenderlo es a través de experiencias interactivas y activas. Es por eso que como parte del tema “¡Aprendiendo a vestirnos!”, las profesoras de segundo grado, Miss Sifuentes y Miss León, organizaron una pequeña “pasarela de modas” con sus estudiantes. Durante el evento, los niños describieron lo que vestían, demostrando su inglés de forma natural, así como perfeccionando sus habilidades orales.

El evento contó con la participación de los padres, incluso algunos participaron cuando sus niños los llamaron para describir su vestimenta. ¡Los padres disfrutaron de un momento agradable en familia!
